Lied Discovery Children's Museum: If you are looking to take the kids to a place that's meant just for them, then look no further than this magnificent museum. This is a museum where the kids can get hands-on science education without even knowing it. There are over 100 areas covering humanities, science, art and technology, with numerous places and devices for kids to touch, look, try out and learn about. This gigantic museum is over 22,000 square feet and is a definite must-see for the kids on any Las Vegas vacation. Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage: This amazing habitat will have you in complete awe as you enter the sanctuary that is home to dolphins, leopards, tigers, panthers and many more exotic creatures. You and your children can learn some fundamental facts about the lives of these animals as you explore the habitat. This is a special environment, expressly created for these wonderful animals, where you can get a glimpse into what it's like to work very closely with these creatures, and how it's done both safely and humanely. Mirage Volcano: This is a very popular exhibit that you should make a point to see. The life-size volcano is located on the strip in front of the Mirage Hotel and is a marvel of human engineering. It's equipped with lights, music and action unlike any other attraction on the boulevard. The waterfalls and fireballs will excite and captivate you. This is a great place to gather for a family photo and simply enjoy the entertainment that the volcano spews forth. The Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel: It is not your imagination, you DID see a mermaid in this 117,000-gallon aquarium. It features mermaids and fish that swim along side each other. It's also home to over 4,000 tropical fishes of different varieties, and other strange and wonderful sea life, including sharks and stingrays, too. The entire family can enjoy this spectacle of underwater sea life and entertainment. Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor: If you and the family are fans of the movie Titanic, then you are really going to enjoy this breathtaking exhibit that features more than 300 artifacts from the real ship and several replicas of the ship's interior. This is a great and unique opportunity for the family to take a trip back in time to when the Titanic was one of two largest and most beautiful ships on the sea. You can tour the exhibit and see some of the many artifacts that were pulled from the wreckage after the ship sank. Grand Canyon All-American Helicopter Tour: For a grand finale on your Las Vegas trip, you and the family can climb aboard a helicopter and fly off to the Grand Canyon. From the helicopter you will experience spectacular and breathtaking views from the sky. You can land deep in the canyon for a picnic with the family and then hop back aboard for a flight over the famous Las Vegas strip on your way back.
